OUR BELOVED CAZADERO CAMPOUT IS NO MORE

The Sufis teach that very living thing has rhythm. Just as the breath has its rise and fall, the Uruj and Nazul, in all life we can see cycles of energy. Inspired particularly by Joe and Guin Miller long ago, the Golden Gate Sufi Circle has successfully operated weekend camps for the Spring and Fall for many years. Now due to a combination of circumstances (only one of which is economic reality) the GGSC leadership has determined that the time has come to to discontinue the annual Cazadero camp.

In its place there will very likely be another June Sufi gathering of some kind in the North Bay area. Watch for announcements on Goldengatesufi.org and SufiPaths.net -- or by word of mouth at Sufi gatherings, or in the community -- for further announcements. We also invite you to consider the Mendocino, Santa Cruz and East Bay sufi camps this year.

Personally, I am very grateful to Being, to Mother Nature, and to the management of the site, for the years we have enjoyed visiting Cazadero -- the woods, the spacious vistas, the misty mornings, the horses and wild turkeys, the shared meals, dancing under the trees and connection with both Earth and the sangha / community. And now we are moving on.
